The History of the Morning Sickness Site

How My Morning Sickness site got started:

As long as I have had had severe morning sickness I have always wanted to help others who struggle with the same thing...but how? I had huge ideas about databases of women and international help centers for women to be assigned to other women who could come to their house and give help and support...but where do I start?
Then my always energetic husband came home one day and said that he wanted a family of "producers." He was bringing home the money and we were all spending it! He wanted family participation in all areas of our lives, even producing an income. BUT, he still wanted us to homeschool, and for me to manage the home. Whew! That seemed like an impossible task. I couldn't think of very much more that I could do.
THEN, Kevin, and my oldest son (Chase) went to Texas to attend a Family Online Business Seminar by Stephen Beck. They came home motivated, inspired and ready,...for ME to start producing! I have always considered the Proverbs 31 woman and wanted to be just like her. But, the facts were, I was never taught how to sew, clean, or cook. My skills were lagging in many ways and I didn't have lots of time to learn and perfect them either. Besides those basics, I couldn't think of anything I was even semi-good at. Until, Kevin beamed with an idea. He knew something I was good at..... Getting sick in pregnancies. I guess that's a start. I thought it would be a good way that maybe I could now have the means to begin something that would help other moms...and yet, respond to my husbands desires of producing, too.
For 14 years I researched, tried everything I, or anyone else, had ever heard of to relieve nausea, and even developed my own remedies to overcome this challenge. By word of mouth people knew I had really studied up on "morning" sickness so I had others calling me all the time for advice. So, the idea was born. I could help others, help my family, and even keep learning still more in the process.

Chase, who is being a "producer" in the media/film genre, shot a video of me demonstrating my favorite remedy. Poor guy, he didn't have much talent on my part to work with......but, he got a lot of editing practice by filming me. That was a bonus!

I had an article published in "Above Rubies," an excellent magazine to encourage moms in their high calling as wives and mothers. I've had a lot of positive feedback from that article. It's been a rewarding experience talking with other moms who feel just like me and being able to offer, at the very least, sympathy! Although, it has recently come to my attention that some moms who had even worse experiences than me were offended by it! (My apologies to those moms.)

Our children "producers" have,-
-Authored a book entitled, "How to Clean Your Room (Getting it done while having fun)" SOLD OUT at its first conference !
-Created a Character Coloring book -SOLD OUT within 2 conferences ! Now being revised.
-Produced a video for a local 'Home Designing' lady
-Sold Homemade Granola (Additional county regulations have put this one on the back burner)

Other projects developed or in the process:
-Italic Workbooks
-Daily Bible Lessons
-Developing Character in your Children
-Creating a Missions Flight website
-What is Christian Modesty? - Video

When families are able to be "producers" together- it is so much fun.
Everyone working together on the tiniest idea can achieve mighty results!

We want to help others achieve their desires also. So my husband just gave his first seminar locally on 'How to Start a Family Online Business." He had so much positive feedback after this, he mentioned he may do it again, and already had 15 people wanting to go! Doing something as a family, where everyone contributes, from young to old, is a satisfying goal.
My son is filming these classes and will make them available on DVD in the upcoming months.

Well, time to homeschool. (Where life isn't in a classroom, life is the classroom!)
